Skill:
Plant Manipulation: She can control plants (including some wood, vines, fruits, flowers, and possibly some fungus). She can use their power for defense by creating armor although she can only make enough armor to cover an arm or leg and hold it without growing fatigue, but if she were to create a full entourage of armor she could only hold it for a few minutes. She can also use plant chemicals to heal small animals or injuries, but cannot fully grasp this power and she can use the plants as camouflage to blend into her environment. She can manipulate plants into weapons, but has a limited amount of control over them and is unable to crate weapons that are too large. She is capable of controlling vines without any issue and uses them as binds to hold her enemies or as whips.


Botanical Affinity: She can understand the overall well-being and conditions of plants, as well as fully interpret their emotions and communicate with them.


Notes on her powers:
• She has pale white skin because of her affiliation with plants and she smells of white lilies.
• Her emotions take a heavy toll on her abilities since she can communicate with plants; if she’s angry so are they and she can control them with much ease because they sympathize with her.  Similar goes with other emotions.
• If she is sad (to an extent) her tears will sprout young plant life ranging from grass to saplings pending how sad she is.

Xi grew up with parents of high expectations so she constantly chose to read and study over playing with others. This made her more task oriented and focused as opposed to most children. Although her parents pusher her to achieve they also pushed her to make friends, due to this she became more outgoing and friendly. With the guidance of her parents and her growing ability Xi realized that she had to be a more kind person so that she could better communicate to her plant friends. Her parents also encouraged her to ask questions and get information; to not be afraid to further advance her knowledge in any situation. She is always eager to learn new things and is prepared for just about any type of learning situation.



History:

Xi Vester is the only child of Dr. Beauregard Vester and Defense Attorney Rasilia Vester, about 3 months before having Xi the family moved to a smaller town so that their child would have a friendlier place to grow. After her second birthday Xi started to develop powers. Thanks to living in a smaller town she had plenty of plant life to talk to and practice with. Sadly though, her gift was also a curse; due to her ability to talk to and understand plants Xi started to develop paranoia because any little plant could talk to her at any given time. Her parents helped her the best they could, so they only let her be by plants for a short time. When they felt that Xi might be burdened by her gift her parents tried to keep her away from plants for as long as possible. Although her paranoia was a problem she didn't let it stop her from exploring and wandering around in places where she shouldn't go alone. The plants began to act as a guide to her and she learned from them and began to grow a hatred towards those that treat plants so improperly.

When she was old enough to start school she didn't let the other kids know of her ability for fear of being bullied and was a loner for most of her youth. So to take her mind off of what the other kids might think her parents encouraged her to work hard and to focus solely on school work. And as she got older they began to push her into making friends, although they wanted her to show her true colors, she still hid her ability to communicate and control plants. She wasn't the most popular kid, but she had plenty of friends both in and out of school. And whenever she felt threatened by students she would go to the library where she spent most of her time learning more about her powers and furthering her education. She read the vast majority of books and learned as much as she could about her powers and abilities.

As she got older she experimented with her powers more and began to tell her friends of her powers. When she reached age 16 she heard about Monochromatic Academy and when she felt she learned all that she could on her own she decided to try to get into MCA. And she did! Now that the school is being revamped to better suit the students she is going to try and re-gain entrance to the school to further her studies and learn more about her powers which continue to perplex her.
